K9Yoga Classes
Stronger Bodies. Healthier Dogs. Better Lives.
K9Yoga is far more than stretching or relaxation. It is a
structured canine fitness and conditioning
programme that helps dogs develop strength,
balance, flexibility, body awareness and
confidence through carefully designed
exercises and positive reinforcement.
Whether your dog is a family companion, an agility
athlete, a growing puppy or a senior enjoying
retirement, K9Yoga helps improve movement,
reduce the risk of injury and build lifelong physical
wellbeing.
At McKaynine, every exercise is adapted to suit your dog's age, fitness and
individual needs, making K9Yoga suitable for a wide variety of breeds and lifestyles.
Why Choose K9Yoga?
Modern dogs don't just need exercise - they need movement that
develops healthy bodies.

Balance and coordination

•
Overall wellbeing
Many owners notice improvements not only in their dog's movement, but also in confidence,
concentration and everyday quality of life.
More Than Fitness
K9Yoga isn't about creating canine athletes. It's about
teaching dogs how to move efficiently, safely and
confidently throughout life.
Many of the exercises help dogs become more aware of
where their bodies are in space, improving balance,
coordination and confidence while encouraging calm,
thoughtful movement rather than frantic activity.
This makes K9Yoga an excellent complement to everyday
training, rehabilitation programmes and canine sports.

Injury Prevention Through Better Movement
Strong, coordinated dogs are often more resilient.
K9Yoga develops the muscles that support healthy
movement while improving balance and coordination.
Many owners choose K9Yoga as part of a proactive
fitness programme to help prepare sporting dogs for
activity or to support healthy ageing in family
companions.
Rather than waiting until problems develop, K9Yoga
focuses on helping dogs move well throughout life.
Reward-Based Learning
Every exercise is taught using positive reinforcement.
Dogs learn through shaping, targeting and rewarding
correct movement, creating enthusiastic learners
who enjoy every session.
There is no force or intimidation - just thoughtful,
engaging training that strengthens both body and mind.

introducing a puppy to body awareness or supporting an older dog, we'll help you find the right

What is K9Yoga? K9Yoga is a canine fitness and conditioning programme that improves strength,
balance, flexibility, body awareness and confidence through carefully designed exercises using
positive reinforcement.
Is K9Yoga suitable for puppies? Yes. Puppies benefit enormously from age-appropriate body
awareness and coordination exercises that help develop confidence and healthy movement.
Can older dogs do K9Yoga? Absolutely. Many exercises can be adapted for senior dogs to help
maintain mobility, strength and quality of life.
Can K9Yoga help prevent injuries? While no programme can guarantee injury prevention, improving
strength, balance and body awareness may help reduce injury risk and support healthier movement.
Does my dog need to be sporty? Not at all. K9Yoga is suitable for family pets, sporting dogs, senior
dogs and puppies alike.
Is K9Yoga suitable after an injury? Many rehabilitation programmes include fitness and conditioning
exercises. Dogs recovering from injury should always participate with veterinary or physiotherapy
guidance where appropriate.
